Saw SOLO. It was aggressively fine, which is fine, I guess. The cast’s charisma really saved it, and some of the musical cues were delightful. But these spin-off STAR WARS movies REALLY need to figure out how to do first acts.— Nathanael Hood (@NateHood257) May 27, 2018
I’m also a bit disappointed that the film didn’t become a sci-fi take on THE DEFIANT ONES after Han and Chewie escaped the Empire chained together, but whatever.— Nathanael Hood (@NateHood257) May 27, 2018
Rating: 7/10I did dig how the film made the galaxy truly feel BIG, especially in the aforementioned first act when Han wanted nothing more than escaping Corellia and finding his freedom in space. That kind of Romanticism really speaks to me, and it also reminds me of Luke’s yearnings in IV.— Nathanael Hood (@NateHood257) May 27, 2018
