Fast & Furious: Justin Lin
Justin Lin's Fast & Furious isn't a movie; it's a video game with live-action cut scenes. There's a scene early on where Vin Diesel charges his car at a tumbling, exploding gasoline tanker that was so preposterous and so shoddily animated that I actually felt embarrassed for everyone involved with the film. It doesn't help that by this point the series' emphasis on honor, brotherhood, and loyalty has grown paper thin. Fast & Furious is, in a word, tedious. How many times is the Law going to welcome Paul Walker back into its ranks after he screws up and helps the villains? Diesel feels like he's on autopilot, the subplot about his girlfriend being a secret agent and getting killed felt unnecessarily perfunctory, and the climactic action scene was too cluttered, too dark, too chaotic, and too poorly animated to be effective.
