BloodRayne: Uwe Boll

Ben Kingsley, why do you keep doing this to yourself? Why do you keep appearing in abysmal movies like Uwe Boll's BloodRayne, a loose adaptation of the Terminal Reality video game franchise about a half-human/half-vampire named Rayne who seeks to destroy a Vampire King responsible for murdering her mother? Did you not know that Boll has a reputation as one of the world's worst modern filmmakers? Could you not tell from the script that it would feel like it's made up of seemingly random chunks of plot devices and violence from a much larger, more coherent film? Did you not realize that the final product would play like its own porn parody with most of the porn taken out? I guess you couldn't have known that the gory special effects would have all of the subtlety and realism of an Andreas Schnaas film or that you would be forced to wear one of the worst hairpieces imaginable. But come on, Mr. Kingsley! This is beneath you! You were in Gandhi (1982) and Schindler's List (1993) for crying out loud!

2/10
