Kung Fury: David Sandberg
David Sandberg's Kung Fury is to Richard Park and Y.K. Kim's Miami Connection (1987) what Miami Connection is to Miami Vice. It's a ludicrous, over-the-top piece of nonsensical ridiculousness more suited to be chopped up into tumblr gifs than it is to be actually watched as a piece of cinema. And you know what? That's the point. David Sandberg lived the dream and created the kind of thing most people like to think up after a long night of video games and action movies with friends. In short: I never want to see it again. Make no mistake, I'm glad it exists. But it was too much for me.
